How about building the most modern, state of the art train station on Long Island complete with vallet parking, cozy waiting areas, wifi, covered escalators to cross the tracks, beautiful landscaping, ticket machines on both sides of the track, kiosks to pick up your take out dinner order & other conveniences for the harried commuter.
Just imagine how great it could be!!

I think this would be a great idea once Huntington Station has some real destination points as it will be the beginning of the Huntington Station ”experience” for people training it here to shop or stroll, but I wouldn’t want to see it be a main focus as the station itself won’t be a destination for anyone other than commuters and some locals. I don’t think having a modernized station will bring commerce into the area.
